Week 1
The season kicked off with a championship game rematch between Galo FC and South Shore Spirit. The game was tight, however, South Shore Spirit, was able to come away with a 6-4 victory and claim revenge from last seasons defeat.
The second game featured our only returning inaugural team Forest Park Vikings vs Los Ritardos. Los Ritardos jumped out to a 3-0 lead by halftime, but the steady stalwarts pushed back and brought the game to 3-2 with just under 10 minutes to play. The nail biter remained 3-2. Congratulations to Los Ritardos on winning their first game in the league.
The Third game of the evening featured the rebranded Rosedale United Indoor vs Renegades NY FC. This was another very close game, with Rosedale hitting woodwork several times throughout the game. Rosedale pushed the renegades to the very end of the game, but the younger and faster team came out victorious. Renegades won the game 4-1. Congratulations to Renegades on winning their first match in the league.
The soccer played is entertaining, quick paced, lots of action; and some of the best players male and female in Long Island are participating.
