New York West Indies United team before their game vs South Jamaica Portuguese

11/27/16 - This week in the LISFL saw a big win for East Hampton FC that allowed them to move ahead of Glen Cove Avellino and into first place of Group A in Division 1. Both teams will play each other on Sunday, December 11th in the last league game before the winter break.

Division 1

A goal by Ben Levy gave New York Irish Rovers a valuable point as they tied Glen Cove Avellino 1-1. Tyler de la Torre had given Glen Cove a 1-0 lead that they took into halftime. Rovers won the Reserve game 1-0 on a goal by Josue Aceituno.

New York Polet defeated Port Jefferson Fusion 5-0 with Misin Shala and Nicholas Bell each scoring 2 goals. Thomas Garcia also scored for Polet who also won the Reserve game 2-1. Leo Goncalves and Jose Torres scored for Polet, while Tim Berdon scored for the Fusion.

Port Jefferson SC defeated Forest Park 3-0 on goals by Ryan Zebuth, James Thristino, and Kyle Campbell. Forest Park won the Reserve game 8-4 with Jose Villatoro scoring a hat trick, Alberto Matsuura and Larry Mongelli each with 2 goals, and David Yepes with a goal.

Two goals from Jefferson Ramirez and a goal from Edwin Menbreño gave East Hampton the 3-0 win over New York Serbia. East Hampton also won the Reserve game 5-0 with a hat trick from Furkan Akyol and 2 goals from Eddy Juarez.

Real New York FC defeated Kew Forest FC 11-0. Jevaughn Waugh had a hat trick, Odane Greensword and Omar Crowl each had 2 goals, while Jordan Chin, Ahmed Campbell, Sanjay Butler, and Samora Wright each had a goal. Real New York FC also won the Reserve game 2-1 on goals by Rohan Smith and Colin Martin Jr.

Division 2

Terry Ullendahl gave the following account of the Mineola Portuguese vs Leros game, "On a cold and windy day the hats were flying as Paul Goncalves had a top notch day scoring a personal best of 4 goals. He was supported by an outstanding defense led by co-captains Andre Cancelinha and Nick Maleganos. Adding to the score was Alex Tinoco (2) and Zach Gould (1). Leros never gave up, putting their 3 goals into the back of the net in the second half. It was a good day at Mineola High School." Dorie James scored a hat trick for Leros in the 7-3 loss.

New York West Indies United defeated South Jamaica Portuguese 7-0 on 2 goals each from Fernander Demas and Ronald Ade along with goals from Ryan Steadman, Roody Derineau, and Widmayer Jean.

College Point Flames picked up a big road win by defeating Floral Park FC 3-0. Tom Garafola marked a return to the Flames lineup with 2 goals and Joe Meagher added a goal.

Oceanside United picked up a big 3-2 road win over Oyster Bay Park to keep their lead in the Division 2 East Group. Kevin Becker had 2 goals and Julio Flores added a goal for Oceanside. Jelson Bonilla and Gerhard Zuniga scored the goals for Oyster Bay.

Division 3

Two goals each from Ryan Reichmann and Carlos Gomez gave Hicksville American SC a 4-2 win over South Jamaica Portuguese.

Edwards Cup

It was a big day for Steven Bailey as he scored all 5 goals to give NYCD Boldest Soccer FC a 5-0 win over Port Jefferson Fusion.

O-30 Division

Glen Cove Avellino had a big 8-0 win over Garden City Centennials. Damion James scored 4 goals, Victor Avwontom had 2, and Samuel Minaya and Paul Oliva each had 1 goal for Glen Cove.

Goals from Pierre Sy and Stanley LaRouche gave Port Jefferson SC a 2-1 win over Integral Kings. Dason Noble was the goalscorer for Integral.

Two goals from Ryan Reid, along with goals from Marco Hamilton, Jefferson Hinds, Jason Hinds, and Patrick James gave Baisley United a 6-1 win over Long Island Gaels VSP. Joe Grasso scored for the Gaels.

John Paul Bucich gave the following account of the Istria vs Lindenhurst game, "Lindenhurst opened the scoring at the 5 minute mark, on poor clear by an Istria defender. Lindenhurst survived a barrage of attacks to finish the first half. Istria, finally tallied their first goal in the 75th minute, off a beautiful free kick by Aleksandar Dekic. Silvio Zucchelli scored in the 80th minute to put Istria ahead and Dekic converted a PK to put it away." Michael Hobbs scored for Lindenhurst in the loss. With the win, Istria go into the winter break as the West Group leaders.

New York Polet defeated Oceanside United 4-0 on goals by Thomas Gelardi, Zeljko Faraguna, Michael Todd, and Alessandro Acquista. It was a big road win for Polet who go into the winter break as the East Group leaders.

Polonez defeated New York Hota Bavarians 3-1 on goals by Marek Tylutki, Grzegorez Kaplan, and Adam Piechota. Will Corrigan scored for Hota in the loss.

O-40 Division

Lindenhurst picked up a big 4-3 win over Baisley United to keep pace with Division leaders Polonia as the teams head into the winter break. Patrick Tracy, Anthony Fassino, James Roche, and Simon Riddiough were the goalscorers for Lindenhurst. O'Neil Johnson scored a hat trick for Baisley in the loss.

DeLuca Cup

New York Hota Bavarians defeated New York Polet / Rudar 7-2. Keles Resul led the way with a hat trick, while Patrick O'Connor scored 2 goals, and Richard Marshall and Silvano Frantellizzi each had a goal.

Olympiacos New York defeated Oceanside United 3-2 on a hat trick from Anestis Apostolidis.
