NYCD Boldest FC team before their win in the Edwards League Cup

11/20/16 - This week in the LISFL saw a return to League Cup action and the return of former New York Hota Bavarians player Bruce Arena to the helm of the U.S. Men's National Team.

USASA National Amateur Cup

East Hampton F.C. lost to New York Greek Americans 4-1 on penalty kicks after a 0-0 draw on Thursday night. East Hampton battled hard for 90 minutes, but a Greek Americans team with a new coaching staff and several new signings ultimately prevailed.

McKim Cup

East Hampton rebounded from the loss in the Amateur Cup by defeating Port Jefferson SC 2-1 to book a place in the final in June. Stiven Orrego and Tomás Pulgarin scored the goals for East Hampton. Mike Celentano was the Port Jefferson goalscorer.

Glen Cove Avellino advanced to the semi-finals by forfeit over New York Polet. Glen Cove will play New York Irish Rovers in the semi-final on Sunday, December 4.

Hertwig Cup

Forest Park defeated New York Irish Rovers 4-2 on penalty kicks after a 0-0 draw. With the win, Forest Park advance to the final in June where they'll face the winner of the Glen Cove Avellino vs New York Polet semi-final.

Themann Cup

College Point Flames defeated Mineola Portuguese 2-0 on goals by Rob Fucci and Greg Baum to advance to the quarter-finals where they'll face Oceanside United.

New York West Indies United defeated Floral Park 2-1 to advance to the semi-finals where they'll face Farmingville Portuguese. Alex Barbosa was the goalscorer for Floral Park.

Edwards Cup

NYCD Boldest FC defeated South Jamaica Portuguese 7-0 to take the lead in their group. Steven Bailey led the way with 4 goals for the Boldest, while Kevin Palulis, Jason Hamil, and Oleg Martynuk added goals.

Reitschlin Cup

Integral Kings defeated New York Polet 1-0 on a goal by Dason Noble to advance to a semi-final match-up with Glen Cove Avellino.

Fabian Brizuela led the way for New York Hota Bavarians with a hat-trick, while Lucas Prochotsky and Sean Secada added goals in a 5-2 win over Polonez. Jacek Kaplan scored both goals for Polonez. With the win, Hota advance to the semi-finals where they'll face Baisley United.

Gillen Cup

Two goals from Antonio Alvayero were enough for New York Hota Bavarians to defeat Lindenhurst 2-0. With the win, Hota booked a place in the final.

Olympiacos New York will be Hota's opponent in the final after a 4-3 win over Polonia. Stelios Stylianou, Roland Demba, Rony Gonsalves, and a Polonia own goal accounted for the Olympiacos goals. Marek Rakowski, Michal Siwiec, and Mariusz Chaberek were the Polonia goalscorers.

DeLuca Cup

Baisley United and New York Hota Bavarians drew 0-0 and will need to play the third game of the group stage to determine if they'll advance.

Polonia defeated Oceanside United 7-1 to clinch a spot in the semi-finals. Wiesiek Halon scored 5 goals and Tadeusz Weber added 2 goals for Polonia.

Division 2

College Point FSC won 8-0 over Oyster Bay Park.

Leros defeated Farmingville Portuguese 3-1. John Falidas scored twice and Dorie James added a goal for Leros. Brandon Burham scored for Farmingville.

Oceanside United and Olympiacos New York battled to a 0-0 draw.
