HBC / ISA Team after winning LISFL Ryder Vass U23 Final 2-1 over Rosedale. Cory Santangelo and Jonathan Interiano scored the goals for HBC / ISA who were undefeated throughout the tournament and conceded only 7 goals, which tied them for the least amount of goals against.

The tournament final was hosted by the New York Cosmos at Hofstra prior to their game against Puerto Rico FC on Saturday, July 30.

The HBC / ISA players had a strong connection with each other with several of them having played youth soccer together for the club. The Diliberti family provided the backbone of the team with ENYSSA Hall of Famer Vincenzo Diliberti, sons Damiano and Joseph all coaching the team. Grandson Vincenzo Diliberti was also a player on the team.

Goalkeeper Scott Flores came up big for his team when he saved a penalty kick to preserve the lead.

Rosedale had a very strong U23 Team that was dominant throughout the LISFL tournament. They led all teams in goal scoring with 33 goals, while only conceding 7, which tied them for the least amount of goals against. Jevaughn Waugh scored for Rosedale in the Final against HBC / ISA.

Prior to the LISFL tournament, Rosedale reached the USASA Region 1 Final where they lost 1-0 to West Chester United from Pennsylvania. Rosedale featured several players from Jamaica's Red Stripe Premier Division, including many players from Portmore United, which won the league. Timothy Weah (Paris St. Germain U17, US U17) and Damano Soloman (Jamaica National Team) also featured for Rosedale during the LISFL tournament.

HBC / ISA celebrate the game winning goal by Fernando Cortez to win the ENYSSA U23 Championship 3-2 over FC Dutchmen from Albany, NY. Carlos Menjivar and Anthony Antunes also scored for HBC / ISA who were down 1-0 and 2-1 before scoring the game tying and winning goals. Team captain Justin Hansen had been injured in the quarter-final game against NY Hota Bavarians, but he returned to lead his team to the win, which capped off an exciting summer for a remarkable group of young men.

LISFL President Gus Xikis said, "It was a terrific tournament this summer with many great teams, players and coaches. I was able to see several of the games and it exceeded my expectations. HBC / ISA and the Diliberti family did a terrific job and are very worthy champions of both the LISFL and ENYSSA. Rosedale also were a terrific team who were epitomized sportsmanship in defeat."

Xikis continued, "The Cosmos once again were great hosts. It was terrific for these young men to get to play the LISFL final at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium before the Cosmos played later that night. The game between HBC / ISA and Rosedale was one of the best U23 Finals we've ever had and I think it was a showcase for our league to the local soccer fans."
